- The skin corrosion potential of the test item SODIUM TETRAFLUOROBORATE was assessed with an in vitro membrane barrier assay, using the validated commercial kit CORROSITEX®.
The test item was able to penetrate the biobarrier after 25 minutes. Positive and negative control results met the acceptance criteria indicating a good functioning of the test system.
According to OECD No. 435 guideline for testing of chemicals “in vitroMembrane Barrier TestMethod for Skin Corrosion” (adopted on 28 July 2015), SODIUM TETRAFLUOROBORATE
is defined as corrosive to the skin, GHS 1B (Packing Group II).
