Remarks on result:
other: at room temperature

The surface tension of the product at 0.1% in MQ water in room temperature was 32.5 mN/m.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the surface tension of the test substance was determined to be 32.5 mN/m at room temperature (ring method).
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the surface tension of the test substance, Oleyl TMAC (91.9% active), according to AM46-2678. The instrument used was Krüss K100 force tensiometer and the method used was the Krüss Standard Ring for surface tension measurements. The measurement was performed in room temperature. The stock solution of product (10 g/L) was increasingly injected (30 injections) into clean water with a surface tension of 72 mN/m. For surface tension measurements the product was used at a concentration of 0.1% in MQ water. Under the study conditions, the surface tension of the test substance was determined to be 32.5 mN/m at room temperature (Andersson, 2016).

Description of key information

The surface tension of the test substance was determined using ring method according to AM46-2678 (Andersson, 2016).
