Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Executive summary:

From the structural formulae of the main constituents of Safester A-75, it can be concluded that the substance is not an oxidising substance. The constituents do not have the functional groups associated with oxidising properties. The oxygen present in the molecules is linked to carbon atoms only.

Therefore it can be concluded beyond reasonable doubt thatSafester A-75 is incapable of causing fire or enhance the risk of fire when in contact with combustible material. As such further testing is not needed.
