Description of key information

The substance is a dark blue powder at 1013 hPa and 20 °C.

No melting of the substance is observed up to 450 °C; exothermic decomposition occurs between 230 and 321 °C with an energy release of 163.7 J/g.

The relative density, determined by means of a pycnometer, is 1.756 at 20 °C.

The substance is soluble in water, ca. 26.62 g/l at 20 °C at pH 5.74, and average log Pow is -1.8530 at pH 5.84. Vapour pressure, surface tension and flash point can be neglected.

Experimentally, relative self-ignition temperature is 317.4 °C and the substance is not flammable.

No explosive properties are expected, based on the thermal profile recorded in a DSC analysis and no oxidising potential is expected based on the chemical structure.
