Description of key information

The aquatic toxicity potential of the substance was evaluated in at least one species at all three trophic levels namely fish, Daphnia and Lemna. Further the substance was also evaluated for bacterial toxicity potential. The 96 h LC50 to the fish was determined to be 10.8 mg/L in a study performed in accordance with the OECD Test Guideline No. 203 (Oct. 1980). The acute toxicity of FAT - 31'016/P to Daphnia magna was determined in a 48-hours static test according to the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals, Section 2, No. 202, adapted 4 April 84, and EEC Directive 84/449, L 251, Part C 2. The EC50 value was determined to be 1.5 mg/l, while the EC100 value was 3.3 mg/l after 48 hours. EC50 (growth rate based on frond number) of FAT 31016/T for toxicity to Lemna was determined to be 27 mg/L. The toxicity of FAT - 31016/P to activated sludge was determined in a 3-hours respiration inhibition test according to the OECD Guideline No. 209, and to the EEC Method No. L 133/118. The IC50 (3 h) of the test substance FAT 31016/P was determined to be 21 mg/l.
