Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance is not classified. No effects were seen in acute toxicity studies in aquatic organisms. In a short-term toxicity study performed on Daphnia magna the 48-hour EC50 was determined to be >0.233 mg/L (time weighted mean measured concentration) and the corresponding NOEC was determined to be 0.233 mg/L. Chemical analysis of the new and old media showed a decline in measured concentrations caused by the insolubility and UVCB nature of the compound, and the filtration of media due to potential of micro-globule or micelles passing through filters. The difficulties in maintaining stable and quantifiable concentrations in the acute tests would be exacerbated in longer-term testing and results would therefore be unreliable. The substance is readily biodegradable and is not persistent in the environment. Exposure to the registered substance is considered to be minimal based on the low concentration of the substance in the formulated and finished products. Further testing is therefore not considered to be justified.
