Executive summary:

The particle size distribution of Dipotassium tetrachloroplatinate was determined by liquid dispersion, in ethanol, following the ISO 14488:2007(E) and ISO 13320:2009(E) guidelines. The 10th, 50th and 90th percentile average particle sizes were determined as 1.18, 15.7 and 51 µm, respectively. The study is a unpublished guideline study that is acceptable for use without restriction.

Description of key information

The 10th, 50th and 90th percentiles from the particle size distribution of Dipotassium tetrachloroplatinate was 1.18 μm, 15.7 μm and 51 μm, respectively.

Additional information

Potthoff (2015) is an unpublished, guideline study considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. In a particle size measurements were carried out according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, following liquid dispersion in ethanol.

The 10th, 50th and 90th percentiles were 1.18 μm, 15.7 μm, and 51 μm, respectively.
