Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Endpoint:
skin sensitisation, other
Type of information:
read-across based on grouping of substances (category approach)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Justification for type of information:
The target substance is included in a category where one member was proven to be skin sensitizer and other members might contain traces of known severe sensitizers such as PAH.
These sensitizers can be under the analytical LOQ but above the EC3 values (e.g. Benzo[a]pyrene EC3= 0.0009 and 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene EC3= 0.006). Based on a conservative approach and considering the UVCB nature of the substance, the target should be considered skin sensitizer. See Category rationale for further details.
