Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Remarks on result:
no reaction with water observed
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

In the preliminary test the substance could not be ignited after contact with a flame for 2 minutes. The test item could not be ignited with a flame. Therefore no main test had to be done.

The test item is not to be considered as highly flammable according to EU legislation EC 440/2008 method A 10.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria

Description of key information

The test was conducted according to guideline A.10 of European Commission regulation EC No 440/2008.

In a pretest the testsubstance could not be ignited by a gas flame within 2 minutes. Therefore the main test did not have to be conducted. The substance is not a highly flammable solid.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

As the substance is not to be ignited within 2 minutes after contact with a gas flame the substance is not to be considered as highly flammable.
