Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Estimated longest half-life for all components of the substance is 18 hours, based on reaction with photochemically-generated hydroxyl radical in the troposphere.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
18 h

Additional information

Due to the very low vapor pressure and miscibility of the substance in water, volatilization to the atmophere is a highly improbable fate process for this substance. Nonetheless, estimated reaction rate constants between the substance components and hydroxyl radical were generated, to allow input of an associated half-life in environmental exposure models.

Estimated half-lives for the components of this substance range from 12 to 18 hours, based on a default hydroxyl radical concentration of 500,000 molecules/cm3. The longest estimated half-life, associated with the lowest-molecular weight homologue, can be used to represent the atmospheric half-life of all homologous components of the substance in the chemical safety assessment.
