Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Moisture (wt %):
2.918
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary screening test: The pile did not ignite, although it smouldered across 200 mm in 1 hour 43 minutes and 29 seconds. The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it did not propagate combustion over the 200 mm of the preliminary screening test in under 4 minutes.
Executive summary:

The purpose of the study was to determine the flammability of the test material according to A10 method and following GLP. The test material (tested as received; moisture content: 2.918% w/w) has been determined to be not highly flammable as it did not propagate combustion over the 200 mm of the preliminary screening test in under 4 minutes.
