Description of key information

According to structural properties, hydrolysis is not expected to be an important fate path.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to the OECD SIDS for Imidazole (2003) and Harris (1990) hydrolysis is not to be expected under environmental conditions because Imidazole lacks hydrolysable functional groups. Therefore, it is concluded that hydrolysis neither is an important process in the fate of Imidazole nor had any considerable effect on the stability of the test substance during the aquatic toxicity studies performed with the substance.
