- Purity: 65.4% (in solution)
Key result
Test series:
other: Bam Fallhammer
Method:
other: Bam Fallhammer mentionned in EU A.14 method (impact energy 40J)
Parameter:
other: explosion
Remarks:
includes crackling, sparking, inflammation
Result:
result is considered "-" (negative)
Remarks on result:
other: the results is considered as negative according to the EC Classification, Packaging & Labelling of Dangerous Substances in the European Union Part 2, Testing Methods, Jan 97

Result:
result is considered "-" (negative)
Remarks on result:
other: the results is considered as negative according to the EU A.14 Method
Interpretation of results:
other: not explosive according to the EU Method A.14
Conclusions:
The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. The test result is therefore considered Negative according to the EU Method A.14
Executive summary:

The explosives properties of the test item have been assessed with Bam Fallhammer and Koenen tube according to EU A.14 Method and under GLP.

No deviation from the guideline was observed during the study.

The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any tests. The test result is therefore considered Negative according to the EU Method A.14.

Description of key information

The Explosiveness of the test item was determined according to recognized guideline (EU Method A.14 ) and under GLP. No deviation from the guideline was observed during the test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The test item is always manufactured and marketed in aqueous solution. Therefore, the explosivity study performed to assess the classification of the test item was performed on a test item aqueous solution (with the typical commercial composition).

Justification for classification or non-classification

No chemical groups presents in the test item are associated with the explosives properties. In order to confirme this assumption, a test performed according to EU Method A.14 have been done.

The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. Therefore, the test item is not classified as explosive according to EU Method A.14. As this results confirm the hypothesis based on the chemical structure, the test item is considered as not classified according to the GHS criteria.
