Additional information

Niaouli oil is a clear, mobile liquid at ambient temperature, with colour varying from colourless to yellow; it doesn't undergo freezing down to -20°C, and distillates between ca 163 and 181°C. It is expected to float over water, because of its low relative density (ca 0.91), and slight to moderate solubility of its major components (2 to 3500 mg/L). Some of them may also exhibit moderate volatility (up to ca 630 Pa) and potential for bioaccumulation (log K > 4). Surface-active properties are anticipated; therefore relevance of water solubility and log K should raise concerns.

Based on its flash point of ca 50°C, Niaouli oil will be classified as a Flammable liquid (cat.3, according to CLP criteria).

It is not regarded as hazardous with regard to other physical hazard classes (explosivity, self-reactive nor oxidising properties).

It should be noted that, as a Natural Complex Substance, the above properties of Niaouli oil may exhibit some variations.
