Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The registered substance is not readily biodegradable. Therefore  it can be considered as potentially persistent (P) or very persistent (vP) according to the PBT screening criteria.

Regarding the bioaccumulation potential, the bioconcentration factor (BCF) is not available and not required for the tonnage band but the log octanol-water partition coefficient of the registered substance is lower than 4.5. Therefore, the registered substance, the substance does not meeet the criterion for Bioaccumulation (B/vB) according to PBT screeining criteria.

No acute effects were observed on the three aquatic trophic levels up to the solubility limit of the test substance. In addition, the registered substance is not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction and there is no evidence of chronic toxicity, therefore does not meet the criterion for toxicity (T).

However, as the registered substance is not considered Bioaccumulable and Toxic, there is no concern of PBT or vPvB potential.
