Description of key information

Based on a Weight of Evidence approach, it can be possible to consider that Laurel leaf oil is readily biodegradable.

It can be observed that only Camphene (0.5% w/w in Laurel leaf oil composition) is considered as not ready biodegradable.

To justify that even if camphene is considered as not ready biodegradable, once in mixture (rosemary oil, which is a comparable NCS which contains ca. 10% of camphene – study in Weigh of Evidence) the mixture underwent ready biodegradation. Therefore, and based on that weight of evidence, it can considered that Laurel leaf oil is readily biodegradable.
