25 °C

Additional information

"Should read: > 1 yr"

3-Methoxy-18-methyl-1,3,5(10)-estratrien-17 beta-ol is a chiral compound (D-enantiomer). The hydrolytical behavior of the substance was experimentally investigated by the results of a hydrolysis study with the racemic mixture ethyltrienol. As, except in chiral environment, D-enantiomer and racemate should show the same behavior, hydrolytic stability is also expected for 3-Methoxy-18 -methyl-1,3,5(10)-estratrien-17 beta-ol is a chiral compound.

Therefore the substance can be considered as hydrolytically stable in the pH range 2-10, which is of relevance for biological systems.
