Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The Pigment additive KR 1789 Stck. Ber. 100% (CAS 85650 -96 -0) is composed of Copper phthalocyanine monosulfonic acid (CAS 28901 -96 -4) and oleylamine (CAS 112 -90 -3). The assessment of the hydrolysis is based on a read-across to information on these components as experimental data are not available for the target substance itself. Hydrolysis of Copper phthalocyanine monosulfonic acid (CAS 28901 -96 -4) at environmental pH conditions is not expected due to the structure of the molecule. Therefore a study is scientifically unjustified. Oleylamine (CAS 112 -90 -3) is expected to be hydrolytically stable. According to Kollig et al., 1993, and Boethling & Mackay, 2003, alkylamines do not contain functional groups that are expected to hydrolyse. The BUA report (1997) states that fatty amines are stable towards hydrolysis under environmental conditions.
