Description of key information

According to REACH Regulation (Annex VII, 7.5, column II), testing of vapour pressure is not necessary if the melting point is >300°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Potassium carbonate represents an inorganic salt with a very high melting point (891°C). Based on this, the vapour pressure of potassium carbonate is negligible at environmental conditions.
