General Information

Name:
EU Self Classification
Implementation:
EU
Remarks:

This classification deviates from that found in EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 in the following ways: Single exposure target organ toxicity: Data from SIEF support STOT SE Cat 2. Annex VI has no classification for this endpoint. Based on the results of acute inhalation studies, the substance is classified as Specific Target Organ Toxicity – Single Exposure Category 2 (H371, kidney) according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. Repeat exposure target organ toxicity: Data from SIEF support STOT RE Cat 2. Annex VI has no classification for this endpoint. Based on the results of repeated inhalation studies, the substance is classified as Specific Target Organ Toxicity Repeated Exposure Category 2 (H373, kidney) according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. There was no evidence of respiratory irritation during inhalation exposures. Therefore, STOT SE Cat 3 classification may benefit from reconsideration in the future.
