Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

The toxicity of Diazokomponente Rot B to aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) was tested in a static test. After 48 hours of exposure, an EC50 of 8.1 mg/l was reported using a solubilizer. No toxic effects against Daphnia magna were observed at the limit of water solubility (< 2 mg/L) under environmental conditions.

Toxicity to aquatic algae:

The acute toxicity of Diazokomponente Rot B to alga was tested. During 72 hours exposure an ErC50 of 16.9 mg/L and ErC10 of 11.6 mg/L were measured and a NOEC of 7.6 mg/L was determined, using a solubilizer in all tests.

Statement:

The analysed concentrations are much higher than the water solubility of < 2 mg/L of Diazokomponente Rot B (Determination of the Water Solubility (Column elution method) of Diazokomponente Rot B, Study No. 2011/0098/02, CURRENTA GmbH & Co. OHG, 2011). The measured concentration, higher than the water solubility, can be explained by the pre-treatment with acetone as a solubilizer. So no toxic effects against Daphnia magna and algae were observed at the limit of water solubility.
