Conclusions:
Under the conditions of the test oxalic acid is found to be a relevant allergen.
Executive summary:

In skin testing of patients with eczema of the dorsum of the foot, allergens used in the manufacture of leather as tanning and dyeing agents, were applied. It was seen that potassium dichromate has no particular significance. Oxalic acid and phenylhydrazine, present in traces in leather dyes, as also dinitrochlorbenzene are all equally potent sensitizing agents.
