Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There are Technical Guidance Document-approved references for the melting point of sorbitol (D-glucitol CASRN 50-70-4) stating 295 ºC at 3.5 mmHg and for a 70% aqueous solution 105 ºC at 750 mmHg. In addition, the Roquette Freres MSDS for Polysorb 75/75 and Neosorb 70/70 state the boiling point is >100ºC. Based on this information, it is scientifically reasonable to expect the boiling point to be >105 ºC.
