Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

A calculated logKoc of 0.115 is available for the uncharged molecule (pKa value: 10.25). The pKa value indicates that the molecule will exist primarily as a cation in the environment and cations generally adsorb stronger to soils containing organic carbon and clay than their neutral counterparts. Hence, the calculation model may underestimate adsorption to organic carbon since it does not consider the ionic structure of the molecule. Under environmental conditions (pH from 5 to 8) the test substance is almost completely present in its charged form. In a calculation conducted according to a publication by Franco & Trapp (2008), using the parameters pKa = 9.95 and a logKow = -0.91 a logKoc value of 1.33 was determined at pH 5, 7, and 8. This pH range was selected since this range represents 98 % of the European soils.

If the substance is exposed to water, the substance will not evaporate into the atmosphere from the water surface. Additionally, volatilisation is expected to be neglible due to the ionic structure of the molecule at environmental condititons.
