Additional information - workers

The oral and dermal LD50 of Coconut oil, reaction products with polyethylene glycol and trimethylolpropane was found to be > 2000 mg/kg bodyweight. Therefore the substance is practically nontoxic after short-term exposure. Therefore a DNEL after short-time exposure must not need derived. There was no evidence of toxicity after oral gavage administration of 1000 mg/kg bw/d of Coconut Oil, Reaction Products with Polyethylene Glykcol and Trimethylolpropane for at least 90 consecutive days to Han Wistar rats. Based on these reuslts, the NOEL was considered to be at least 1000 mg/kg bw/d. Therefore no hazard is expected and no DNEL has to be derived.

The only effect observed with the substance is skin irritation. The substance is classified H315. According to the guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment chapter R8 for this endpoint no DNEL could be derived.
