Shake flask method - OECD 107
Partition coefficient was determined by means of shake flask method as recommended in the OECD 107. The test was carried out at the temperature of 20 °C and at pH of 7.48. The average Pow calculated was 0.00440 (average log Pow: -2.3631).
The experimentally determined log Kow value is outside the validity domain of the shake flask method, according to the OECD 107 (log Kow range: -2 to 4); nevertheless, considering the type of the substance tested and the special characteristics of salts, the shake flask method can be considered adequate and the value reliable.
