Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Biotic degradation

Two ready biodegradability test results are available for Ethanol, 2,2’-[[3-[2-hydroxyethyl]amino]propyl]iminobis-, N-(coco alkyl) derivatives and ethanol, 2,2’-[[3-[2-hydroxyethyl]amino]propyl]-iminobis-, N-(hydrogenated tallow alkyl) derivatives. The biodegradation percentages reached at day 28 in Closed Bottle test, and Sturm test were 61 and 63. ethanol, 2,2’-[[3-[2-hydroxyethyl]amino]propyl]iminobis-, N-alkyl derivatives should therefore be classified as readily biodegradable. The Table below summarizes half-lives derived through default values and a simulation study.
