The LC0 value of a GLP guideline study on earthworms (performed with a structural analogue) was found to be ≥ 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight.

The LC0 and EC0 values of a GLP toxicity study on various terrestrial plants according to OECD 208 (performed with a structural analogue as well) were found to be greater than 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight.

Based on these data and the lack of any toxic effects concerning acute and chronic aquatic toxicity, it is concluded that the risk to terrestrial organisms is expected to be low.

Additionally, as a pigment in plastic products and car paint, the substance will be included into a matrix without any further environmental release. That means that any introduction into the compartments soil and water is very unlikely. In Annex I of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 it is laid down that studies on the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.

Therefore, toxicity studies on terrestrial arthropods and soil microorganisms are not provided.
