Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance was found to be not readily biodegradable.

Additional information

The substance was screened for ready biodegradation potential according to OECD Guideline 301 D (Ready Biodegradability: Closed Bottle Test) (1996).

According to the CLP Regulation EC n. 1272/2008, Annex I, Part 4, subsection 4.1.2.9.2 which states: "a further classification criterion is included which allows the use of data to show that the substance did actually degrade biotically or abiotically in the aquatic environment by > 70 % in 28 days. Thus, if degradation is demonstrated under environmentally realistic conditions, then the criterion of ‘rapid degradability’ is met."

The degradation persentage was found to be 14.7% after 28 day, which is less than 70% as given in the above regulation. Therefore, the test substance shows no evidence of rapid biodegradation in water.
