First-aid measures

General information: Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product.

After inhalation: Supply fresh air and call for doctor for safety reasons. In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.

After skin contact: Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Seek medical treatment.

After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes (10 - 15) under running water. Then consult doctor.

After swallowing: Call a doctor immediately.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: No further relevant information available.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No specific antidote available. Treat symptomatically and supportively.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media:

- Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-resistant foam.

- For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Do not use a heavy water stream.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

- Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire. Can be released in case of fire: Hydrogen fluoride (HF), Sulphur dioxide (SO2), Carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2)

Advice for firefighters:

- Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases. Wear full protective suit.

Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

- Wear protective equipment (described in section 8). Keep unprotected persons away.

- Avoid causing dust.

- Do not inhale dust.

- Avoid contact with substance.

Environmental precautions:

- Do not allow product to reach sewage system or water bodies.

- Do not allow to enter drainage system, surface or ground water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

- Collect mechanically.

- Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to official regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

- Prevent formation of dust.

- Provide suction extractors if dust is formed.

Information about protection against explosions and fires: No special measures required.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

- Further information about storage conditions: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed containers.

- Storage class VCI class 13

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment

The usual precautionary measures should be adhered to general rules for handling chemicals.

Wash hands during breaks and at the end of the work.

Breathing equipment: Use breathing protection only if dust is formed. Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P3

Protection of hands: Protective gloves (EN 374). The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/

the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the

degradation

Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality

and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Penetration time of glove material: The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be

observed.

Eye protection: Safety glasses

Body protection: Protective work clothing.

Stability and reactivity

No decomposition if used according to specifications.

No dangerous reactions known.

Hazardous decomposition products: Sulphur dioxide, Hydrogen fluoride, Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide

Disposal considerations

Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
