Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a limit test fish ( rerio n=20/concentration) were exposed to 0 and 100 mg/L of an analogue of test substance as loading rate. One fish died at 100 mg/L. The NOEC is 100 mg/L (Chemservice 2010a)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
0.2 mg/L

Additional information

No analytical confirmation of the test concentrations was included in the study design, this renders the results less reliable. As at both other trophic levels that were investigated on the test substance itself also no effects on mortality were seen at the same loading rate, it is concluded that the test is sufficient to be used in a read-across approach. It is concluded that the LD50 is above the water solubility level. The water solubility limit (0.2 mg/L) will be the starting point for risk assessment

The rationale for the read-across approach is included in chapter 13 of this dossier.
