Test Methodology
Methodology used to perform preliminary test was ESCIS (Expert Commission of Safety in the Chemical Industries, Switzerland) Book 1, 1998, 4th edition, Burning Test. Test material was milled and dried to achieve a moisture content of <1%.
Premlinary Screening Test Results
Rating assigned to combustion of Intermediate 2945989 that occurred during testing was 2, Brief ignition, rapid extinction. Substance propagated burning of a 200mm length of the powder train for less than 4 minutes. Therefore full test programme to determine the burning rate is not required.
