Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

N = no evidence of ignition or explosion. A dark mark was noted on the plate after testing, indicating that decomposition had occurred.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Fe3P was found not to be explosive.

Description of key information

Fe3P was found not to be explosive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

An explosiveness determination was performed as part of a package of Physicochemical testing (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2011, Study FGE0002). The explosiveness was determined according to EU Method A.14, and the study was conducted in compliance with GLP.

Fe3P was found not to be explosive.

Justification for classification or non-classification

No functional groups associated with explosive properties are present within Fe3P; on this basis it is concluded that classification as "explosive" is not appropriate. This conclusion applies to the following Hazards:

Explosive solids

Explosive liquids.
