Description of key information

A surface tension study was carried out according to EU guideline A.5 and OECD 115. Using the plate method, surface tension of SIKA Hardener LI in an aqueous solution (1000 mg/L) was 55.31 ± 0.21 mN/m at 19.9 °C, upon reaching equilibrium. Four measurement series were performed, as significant changes over time were observed. The mean of results of the third and fourth measurement series was taken as equilibrium value (difference < 5%). As all measured values were lower than 60 mN/m SIKA Hardener LI was considered surface active.
