Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids))
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
Based on earlier studies the test substance was not dried. The reason is that the test substance contents high hydrophilic sulfonate salts that rapidly bind air humidity. This deviation have no negative impact on the study results.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
on basis of the result obtained from trial test, it is obvious that the maximum buming rate ofthe tested mixfure is lower than maximum buming rate of the reference mixture of celluloseand barium nitrate. Thus test substance, Direct Green 28, shouldn't be considered as asubstance with oxidizing properties.
Executive summary:

The procedure was performed according to the Method A.17 Oxidizing properties (Solids), Council Regulation (EC) No.440/2008, published in O.J. L 142, 2008.

on basis of the result obtained from trial test, it is obvious that the maximum buming rate of the tested mixfure is lower than maximum buming rate of the reference mixture of cellulose and barium nitrate. Thus test substance, Direct Green 28, shouldn't be considered as a substance with oxidizing properties.
