TEST ORGANISM

The biological effects are based on the nominal concentration as less than ± 20 % deviation in the measured concentration with regard to the nominal was determined.

Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of the test item to fish (Zebrafish) was determined according to the OECD Guideline 203 (1984), EG 92/69 method C.1 and DIN 38412 Part 1. A semi-static test was performed as a limit test with a concentration of 100 mg/L. The test item solution was prepared by mechanical dispersion – 10.12 g test item were dissolved in 1 L deionised drinking water. Ten test organisms were exposed to the test concentration and the control, respectively, for 96 hours. The measured concentration of the test item at the start of the renewal periods was 100 mg/L and at the end of the renewal periods was 104 mg/L, respectively. The limit concentration of the test item was found to have no effect on the vitality of zebrafish. In conclusion, the LC0 corresponds to the nominal concentration 100 mg/L. The LC50 correspond to the nominal concentration >100 mg/L.
