According to a Mackay Level I model calculation, the main target compartment for the substance will be the air (96.997 %). The calculated Henry’s Law constant of 140.74 Pa m³/mol at 20 °C indicates high volatility of the substance from surface waters. With a log Koc of 2.7 l/kg, a low sorption potential of the substance to soil or sediment organic matter is expected (Blume scale).

The QSAR calculated rate constant for the OH sensitized photodegradation of the substance is approximately 129.31E-12 cm3/(molecule * s). At 500,000 OH radicals / cm3 (approximate 24-hour mean in central Europe), this corresponds to a half-life of 3.0 hours. Hydrolysis under environmental conditions is extremly slow.

No ready biodegradation was observed in a study. The partition coefficient 1-octanol/water was determined as log Kow = 3.58 at 25 °C,
