First-aid measures

If inhaled: Move injured person into fresh air and keep person calm under observation. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

If on skin: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.

If in eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing.

If swallowed: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water and give large amounts of milk or water, if person is conscious. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that stomach vomit doesn't enter the lungs. Lay on the side. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

Protection of first-aid responders: Thermal burns: Flush with water immediately. While flushing, remove clothes which do not adhere to affected area. Call an ambulance. Continue flushing during transport to hospital. First aid personnel must be aware of own risk during rescue.

Notes to physician: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: The product is highly flammable, and explosive vapor/air mixtures may be formed even at normal room temperatures. Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.

Extinguishing media to avoid: None.

Specific hazards: During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.

Special fire fighting procedures: Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of other involved materials. Containers close to fire should be removed or cooled with water.

Protection of fire-fighters: Selection of respiratory protection for firefighting: follow the general fire precautions indicated in the workplace. Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in case of fire.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency measures: Extinguish all ignition sources. Avoid sparks, flames, heat and smoking. Ventilate the area. Avoid inhalation of vapors/spray and contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable protective clothing.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses unless authorized by permit.

Methods or materials for containment and cleaning up: Remove sources of ignition. Beware of the explosion danger. Absorb spillage with non-combustible, absorbent material. For waste disposal, see Section 13 of the SDS.

Prevention of secondary hazards: Stop leak if you can do so without risk.

Handling and storage

Technical measures (e.g. Local and general ventilation): Local exhaust is recommended. Avoid inhalation of vapors/spray and contact with skin and eyes. The product is highly flammable, and explosive vapor/air mixtures may be formed even at normal room temperatures. Do not smoke and do not spray near a naked flame or other sources of ignition. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the floor and in the bottom of containers. Vapors may be ignited by a spark, a hot surface or an ember. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Safe handling advice: Wear approved safety goggles. Wear protective gloves and appropriate clothing to prevent skin contact.

Contact avoidance measures: Strong oxidizing agents. Strong acids. Strong bases.

Hygiene measures: Always observe good personal hygiene measures, such as washing after handling the material and before eating, drinking, and/or smoking. Routinely wash work clothing and protective equipment to remove contaminants.

Safe storage conditions: Follow rules for flammable liquids. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Do not store near heat sources or expose to high temperatures. Store in a well-ventilated place. Store in a cool, dark place. Keep container tightly closed. Store locked up. Store away from incompatible materials.

Safe packaging container: Keep in original container.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Occupational exposure limits: No exposure limits noted for ingredient(s).

Engineering measures: Use explosion-proof equipment. Adequate ventilation should be provided. Provide sealed equipment or local ventilation equipment. Shower, hand and eye washing facilities near the workplace are recommended.

Personal protective equipment:

- Respiratory protection: In case of inadequate ventilation, use suitable respiratory equipment with gas filter for organic gas.

- Hand protection: Wear protective gloves. Be aware that the liquid may penetrate the gloves. Frequent change is advisable.

- Eye protection: Wear approved safety goggles.

- Skin and body protection: Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Stable at normal conditions.

Chemical stability: Stable under normal temperature conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: Will not occur.

Conditions to avoid: Heat, sparks, flames.

Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agenst. Strong bases. Strong acid.

Hazardous decomposition products: At elevated temperatures: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, silicon dioxide

Disposal considerations

Residual waste: Dispose of waste and residues in accordance with local authority requirements. Follow general rules for flammable and harmful liquids. Do not discharge into rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. because the product may affect the environment.

Contaminated packaging: Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.

Local disposal regulations: This product is an industrial waste subject to special control under the Waste Disposal and public Cleaning Law. Dispose of waste at a facility with special permission to dispose industrial wastes subject to special control. Waste should be accompanied by a manifest for the industrial wastes.
