Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Preliminary test
A preliminary mechanical and manual sieving were performed using a 4-mm, 1-mm, and 100-μm test sieves. The majority of the particles was situated between 1 and 4 mm. So, the principal sieving was made between 1 and 4 mm.
Main test
Results of the main test:
Test sieve: 2.8 mm Percentage of residue (%): 46.2
Test sieve: 2mm Percentage of residue (%): 25.1
Test sieve: 1.4 mm Percentage of residue (%): 17.8
Test sieve: Collecting pan Percentage of residue (%): 10.2
The loss of mass was 0.8%
Executive summary:

PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION

In compliance with Guideline OECD No 110 (1981) NF ISO 2591-1 (1989); NFX11-507 (1989)

RESULTS

A preliminary mechanical and manual sieving were performed using a 4-mm, 1-mm, and 100-μm test sieves. The majority of the particles was situated between 1 and 4 mm. So, the principal sieving was made between 1 and 4 mm.

Then, a main test was performed:

Test sieve                             2.8 mm      2 mm   1.4 mm     Collecting pan

Percentage of residue (%)       46.2              25.1              17.8              10.2

The loss of mass was 0.8%.
