An acute fish toxicity test was performed with trout species. Groups of fish (3 fishes per concentration) were exposed to test item. Hence, the lethality limit of FAT 40034/A was determined to be >500 and <1000 mg/L and harmful limit is 500 mg/L.

Description of key information
Currently no data are available to access the acute toxity of the test substance to aquatic vertebrates. An acute fish toxicity test was performed with source substance in trout species. Groups of fish (8 fishes per concentration) were exposed at the test concentrations of 100.0, 200.0 and 1000.0 mg/L. No mortality was observed throughout the duration of the test. Hence, based on source substance data, the LD50 of Reactive Red 024:1 was estimated to be >1000 mg/L.
