Description of key information

The Henry´s Law constant H is estimated as approx. 30 Pa*m³/mol at ambient temperature, related to the vapour pressure and water solubility of AOH.

Additional information

The value derived for Henry's Law constant H relates to the properties of the substance distillates (coal tar), heavy oils (anthracene oil >50 ppm BaP, AOH) except that the molecular weight of the marker substance phenanthrene (178.2 g/mol) is used in the estimation of H.

The constant H for AOH is calculated using the water solubility (WSF) of 3.5 mg C/L (= 0.02 mol/m³) and the vapour pressure of 0.61 Pa, both at 20°C (see Chapter 1.3.). Dimension of H is Pa*m³/mol.

Note: The Henry's Law constant of phenanthrene is about 3.7 Pa*m³/mol (at 25 °C) (EU 2008).
