Additional information

The acute toxicity of Peppermint oil towards fish was estimated using the QSAR EcoWin v1.00 according to the NCS protocol. 96h-LC50 values were calculated for individual constituents using QSARs for one or more relevant chemical groups to which the respective constituent belongs. The worst case LC50 values (from different QSARs) for each for the constituents were used to calculate the LC50 of Peppermint oil according to the formula given in the NCS protocol.

The 96h-LC50 of Peppermint oil towards fish was calculated to be 3.40 mg/l.
