Description of key information
Aziridin is acutely toxic for aquatic algae.

The effects of aziridine on algae were investigated in a GLP-study according to OECD guideline 201. The test was performed under static conditions using Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata as test species and included an analytical monitoring. Based on growth rate an EC50 (72 h) of 8.85 mg/L (nominal) was reported. Additionally, an NOEC (72 h) < 1 mg/L (nominal) was determined [BASF 2010].
