Description of key information

Flash point (triacetoxyethylsilane): >100°C (ISO 3679 and ISO 2719)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
100 °C

Additional information

Two reliable data are available for the test substance. A measured limit flash point values of >100°C and >110°C were determined for the substance using an appropriate test method. The results are considered reliable and used as weight of evidence. In another available study to which no reliability could be assigned, the substance was reported to have a flash point of 104°C using open cup method.

A flash point of >100°C, with a boiling point of 220°C, indicates that the substance should not be classified as a flammable liquid according to the criteria of Regulation 1272/2008/EC.
