Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a GLP compliant study performed to the standardised guidelines OECD 121 and EU Method C.19, the adsorption coefficient of the test material was determined using the HPLC screening method. Under the conditions of the study, the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of the test material was determined to be > 4.27 x 10^5 (Log Koc > 5.63). This value indicates that the test material is immobile.

Since the study was conducted with the read across substance, hydrocarbon waxes (petroleum), oxidised, it has been assigned a reliability score of 2 in line with the criteria of Klimisch (1997). Read across from this substance is justified on the basis of its similar physical and chemical properties to those of the registered substance. Furthermore, it has a very similar chemical structure; the registered substance is an esterified form of the read across substance.
