Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The water solubility of the substance was determined by the flask method according to the OECD Guideline 105 / EU A.6.

In addition for the single components the water solubility was calculated with (Q)SAR (WSKOW v1.42). These calculation show a very low solubility for all components at 25 °C. As expected the smallest component (TMP triester with 2 -EHA) shows the highest solubility of 0.000000752 mg/L at 25 °C.

Therefore it is concluded that the components of the substance Fatty acids, C14 -18 and C16 -18 -unsatd., mixed esters with castor oil, castor oil fatty acids, 2 -ethylhexanoic acid and 2,2 -bis(hydroxymethyl)-1 -butanol have a water solubility of <1 mg/L.

Other components of minor concentration (free fatty acids) may contribute to the solubility of <10 mg/L.
