Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The ready biodegradability test was carried out according to OECD 301B Ready Biodegradability: CO2 Evolution (Modified Sturm Test) guidelines. The substance, at a concentration of 12 mg TOC/l, was exposed to activated domestic sewage sludge micro-organisms with mineral medium in sealed culture vessels at between 22.0 and 23.1°C for 28 days. The degradation of the test substance was assessed by the determination of carbon dioxide produced. Control solutions with inoculum and the reference substance, sodium acetate, together with a toxicity control were used for validation purposes. The substance attained 0% degradation after 28 days and therefore cannot be considered to be readily biodegradable.
