Description of key information

Reaction product of fatty acids C14-18/C16-18 unsaturated with dihydrogendioxide and ammonia is hydrolytically stable under environmental conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the hydrolysis as a function of pH for Reaction product of fatty acids C14-18/C16-18 unsaturated with dihydrogendioxide and ammonia is available. The study was performed according to GLP and OECD guideline 111 under conditions of the preliminary study (pH 4, 7, 9 and 50 °C; Henkel 2012). The substance showed recovery rates of > 98 % at pH 7 and 9. The low recovery rate at pH 4 (< 14.4 %) was related to precipitation rather than hydrolysis as indicated by observed precipitation, which was identified as the test substance. Thus, the substance can be considered hydrolytically stable at environmental conditions and according to the OECD guideline no main test under further temperature conditions is deemed necessary.
