Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

Any other information on results incl. tables

The test item was formed into a particle train. A hot flame from a gas burner with a diameter of about 6 mm is used to ignite the pile at one end. In the preliminary screening test the substance partly melts. The flame extinguishes a few seconds after the gas burner is removed without propagation.

The test item has not to be classified as a readily combustible solid of the UN-class 4.1.

The classification, based on the test results of the readily combustible solids, is to be made according to the Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
