Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

An OECD TG 222 guideline study in compliance with GLP with earthworm (Eisenia fetida) is available for the test substance. Earthworms were exposed to nominal concentrations of 5.00, 9.00, 16.2, 29.2, 52.5, 94.5, 170 and 306 mg test item/kg soil dry weight in a geometric factor of 1.8 along with a control group (without test item) and a solvent control (acetone) for 56 days test period. Based on the results the effect parameters were expressed on the basis of nominal concentrations. Besides the highest concentration tested no mortality was observed in the control and other concentrations. The EC10 reproduction was determined to be 28.4 mg test item/kg soil dry weight with the lower and upper 95 %-confidence limits of 7.82 and 43.8 mg test item/kg soil dry weight. The study met the acceptability criteria prescribed by the protocol and was considered valid.
